Washing and removing debris from berries is an essential part to any berry processing line, which is exactly what LPM’s water tank accomplishes. What sets LPM’s water tank apart from the competition is its unique all-stainless design, which eases cleaning and reduces microbial build up.
How it Works
The tank is filled with chlorinated (or other sanitizer) water. Berries enter the tank at the in-feed end. A continuous moving mesh conveyor, under the water, carries ripe berries which sink toward the discharge end. Small debris that comes off the berries settles through the mesh belt and is retained in the bottom of the tank. Green, unripe berries rise to the surface of the water where they are separated from the ripe berries and discharged.
Features
• The unique V-shaped design provides easy cleanup, flushing out the debris during drain-out
• The low profile keeps the in-feed and discharge conveyor heights at a comfortable level
• The berry conveyor dumps excess debris outside of the tank to prevent debris from returning
• Stainless steel design
Available Options
• Green berry skim-out conveyor: removes green, unripe berries from the water tank eliminating manual removal
