A metering hopper conveyor feeds berries onto the profile roller bed which has openings for small berries and debris to drop out. Large berries flow across the roller bed onto the manual inspection conveyor, and large defect berries are manually removed from the inspection conveyor. As defect berries and debris are removed, they are placed into the trash lanes on either side of the conveyor, and conveyed into lugs held underneath the inspection conveyor.
